Seminars for the Promotion of the Accession of UN Conventions and other International Instruments


UNAFEI, in collaboration with the UN, held a seminar for high-ranking officials of 19 countries from Asia and the Pacific Region in 2002, for the promotion of the ratification of the UN Convention against Transnational Organized Crime. UNAFEI provided cooperation to the seminar on UN Counter-Terrorism Conventions for the purpose of encouraging accession to the Conventions hosted by the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2003.
UNAFEI also gives lectures on the UN Convention against Corruption on various occasions to facilitate the understanding of the Conventions.
